Procedure

There are several implant procedures being used today and they vary in duration and materials. The first appointment will involve a consultation and the creation of an individualized treatment plan.

Once an implant is decided upon, here is a basic outline of what is involved. First Dr. Sims will place a titanium post into the jaw bone. New bone cells will grow up against the post (osseointegration) which normally takes 3-4 months, At this point a special impression will be taken of the area. From this, a crown will be made which will then be secured to the post
