DIGITAL X-RAYS
Digital radiography has completely changed the way we take dental X-rays. The process is faster, more convenient and more comfortable than ever before. Unlike traditional X-rays which use film, a digital sensor is utilized to take images of your teeth. It uses very little radiation compared to conventional film X-rays and does not require chemicals. High-quality images can then be viewed in real time on monitors to provide you with accurate diagnoses.
Dental X-rays can detect:
- Tooth decay
- Developmental abnormalities
- Incorrect tooth root positioning
- Abscesses
- Cysts
- Fractures
- Tumors
- Bone loss
Dental X-rays may be required when planning for certain dental treatments, such as braces, oral surgery, dental implants and root canal treatment.
